Nestled in the vibrant heart of Palm Springs, Chef Tanya's Kitchen is a standout vegan restaurant and market that beautifully marries inventive plant-based cuisine with a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. Located at 706 S Eugene Rd, this culinary gem elevates vegan dining with a menu brimming with flavor, texture, and creativity that will satisfy even the most devoted food lovers.
The culinary philosophy here is clear: plant-based doesn’t mean compromising on taste or satisfaction. Diners rave about the diverse selection, from indulgent sandwiches to hearty salads and comforting soups. The Bahn Mi & You is a vibrant explosion of textures and spices—seared garlic chili tofu, fresh pickled daikon and carrot, crunchy cucumber, and herbaceous mint, cilantro, and basil, all elevated by a creamy spicy mayo and nestled on toasted ciabatta. Equally tempting is the BLTA, which reinvents the classic bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich using smoky tofu bacon, ripe avocado, and fresh tomato on toasted country levain bread, delivering a perfect balance of smoky, tangy, and creamy sensations.
For a taste of comfort food with a vegan twist, the Gordo Chili and Mac N’ Cheesy dishes provide indulgent warmth and richness—heirloom Rancho Gordo beans simmered with seitan and organic tomatoes, or creamy, garlicky vegan mac and cheese topped with a crunchy garlic crumb. The Chicken Sandwich, featuring crispy plant-based “chiken” tenders, and the ever-popular Cupracabra burger craft a savory profile that’s crispy, juicy, and deeply satisfying.
Salads at Chef Tanya’s are nothing short of a festival on the plate. The Coachella Forever salad dazzles with a mix of crunchy romaine and cabbage, quinoa, black beans, jicama, avocado, and toasted pepitas, all uplifted by a creamy mango lime dressing with chili con limon dust—a celebration of bright, fresh, and vibrant flavors. Or indulge in the CTK Classic Caesar, a fresh take on the traditional Caesar with walnut parmesan and vegan dressing, perfect for those seeking a salad that’s both crisp and hearty.
Chef Tanya’s Kitchen also delights the sweet tooth with vegan soft serve and cakes, rounding out the meal with the same level of thoughtful, flavorful craftsmanship found throughout the savory menu.
Visitors consistently praise the friendly and attentive staff who make each visit feel special. Karen Patel highlights it as “THE place” for vegans, while Maria Kaufmann appreciates the freshness and excitement of the menu. Regulars like Félix return multiple times, noting the addictive quality of the deli-style sandwiches and the charming shop that offers local products, gifts, and merchandise. Chris Douglas adds that the location is accessible with quick service, making it an easy and satisfying dining experience.
Overall, Chef Tanya’s Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone craving innovative, deeply satisfying vegan food in Palm Springs. Whether you’re grabbing a meal inside their cozy dining room or taking home some of their incredible creations, this spot skillfully blends health-conscious ingredients with bold, nostalgic flavors, proving that plant-based cuisine can be comforting, delicious, and downright unforgettable.
Cute place, all plant-based. Food was delicious. We tried the chili burger, Pastrami Mami, the Cupracabra burger, crispy chicken and the Guadalajara burger. If you are a vegan, this is THE place!
I'm visiting Palm Springs from a small town in northern California and was so happy to have a Vegan restaurant to check out. I've gotten take out here twice so far this week. The menu is creative and so exciting for vegan food! The food is fresh and crunchy and creamy. Cake and soft serve for dessert. Delicious! The staff is great!!
This place is easy to find, access, and exit. We went into the store, as many people do, instead of the dining room two doors down. It's my understanding that ALL of the food is vegan. Service was quick and friendly. The order was brought to our table in the dining room. You should bus your own table. Our lunch was very tasty and satisfying. We recommend it without reservation. It didn't appear to be wheelchair, but maybe handicapped accessible. I didn't notice, but didn't look for a restroom. If you found this review to be helpful please consider adding a thumbs up or a heart . Thanks.
This is a wonderful completely vegan restaurant. The menu has a wide variety of salads, sandwiches, wraps, and many other things. Everything we had was wonderful. The pastrami mami sandwich was like a Reuben with slices of seitan or tempeh “meat” with cheese, sauerkraut, and thousand Island dressing. The rye bread was amazing and would’ve been good enough for any deli. The vegetable sandwich and the Moroccan cauliflower were equally good. The cauliflower however was not worth the price paid. It should have been less costly. The Agua Fresca was fruit flavored water which I think had to be sweetened with something but a very strong and delicious fruit flavor. Very very refreshing. Only other minor complaint is that the dining room was so small but we were able to sit at the same table with another party. A vegan heaven!
Absolutely delicious and addictive deli-style sandwiches and salads. Went there twice in 2 days in the summer peak of Palm Springs during a little trip and now I can't have it anymore! Nice shop as well with local products and some gifts, merch and books. Nice friendly service from Tyler :) AB.SO.LU.TE.LY recommended, don't even think about it!
5 days in Palm Springs - I've been here for 2 days and eaten here 3 times. If you are Vegan this is a MUST VISIT - if you aren't, this is the place to see what Plant Based can mean. I'm eating here so much I signed up for the rewards! I'm going to head to Palm Desert to try the other location tomorrow!
This lovely vegan restaurant gives true Cali Desert vibes in the best way and is a must visit! The service was great and the menu is varied with a host of prepared and made to order food options! There are several whole food based healthier vegan options also which is wonderful! There are two separate buildings - one where you order and can purchase local and unique items and the other has indoor seating and restrooms. The food is served to you directly in the indoor seating area if dining in. Of note, I appreciated the eco-friendly approach as it appeared the restaurant used recyclable, reusable and/or compostable containers!
